...to translate sensory impressions into visual images, bypassing a need for words.
...to convey feeling tones, impressions, and nuances in this midlife chapter of my “broadband” search for meaning and understanding of the human condition, and my small place in the vast world order.
...to be grounded in a connection to the earth and the energetics of our multi-dimensional environments.
I have continued to explore images inspired by our need for emotional connection, dating from the oldest cave painting representations of the human heart over 12,000 years ago, to the animation of vital life-force energies in their rhythmic dance of expansion/contraction, to the calligraphic characters that unite universal qualities found in both the natural and human-made worlds.
Important portals for my creativity include
yoga and other movement practices;
meditation; making music (harp, piano,
and flute); time in nature and play,
especially with my four-legged companion.
Poetry and people’s evocative stories
inspire me. I relish tapping into the
magic and the mystery of co-creation,
in which I am just a vessel for its essential
and continual flow.
